BREANN PROPHETE, PHARMD
Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice

Breann Prophete earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Mercer University before pursuing her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), graduating in 2023. Following her studies, she completed a residency at Xavier University of Louisiana, where she gained experience in patient care, precepting students, and contributed to various research projects. During this time, she also earned a teaching certificate from Xavier, enhancing her ability to educate and mentor future healthcare professionals.

She is a Sugar Hill native and currently lives there with her family. She is very interested in woman's health and public health.

Research

The Attitudes and Perceptions of Community Pharmacist Toward OTC Birth Control Pill in Louisiana: This projects assess community pharmacist's thoughts about the new over the counter birth control, Opill. A 26 question survey was sent out to registered pharmacist in the state of Louisiana.
