Georgia Campus - Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine is pleased to announce that the Central Application Service for Physician Assistants (CASPA) is accepting applications for the new Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies program slated to begin on campus in June 2016. If distance campus approval is obtained, 20 students will be admitted to the program.
CASPA allows applicants to apply to “developing” physician assistant (PA) programs. The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine Physician Assistant Studies program has applied for approval to locate a distant campus at Georgia Campus for their accredited program, but has not yet received full approval. If applicants choose to apply to the Georgia program, they must understand that the distant campus program may be denied approval after the review process is completed and that there are no refunds (application fee, enrollment deposit or tuition) should the program fail to gain approval. A final decision from the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant is expected by October 2015.
A Georgia Campus open house for all programs, including osteopathic medicine, pharmacy, biomedical sciences and physician assistant studies, will be held Friday, Oct. 2 from 5:30 – 8 p.m. Faculty, staff and students will welcome prospective students.
