Since 2010, the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) School of Pharmacy at the Georgia campus has been providing students with a comprehensive curriculum designed to develop pharmacists capable of practicing in a variety of healthcare settings.
As part of the professionally-oriented Doctor of Pharmacy program, students are taught by talented and committed faculty members and study in state-of-the-art classrooms and teaching laboratories. A sterile products lab, compounding lab and pharmacy practice lab are available to students, along with a Simulation Center and an Anatomy Lab in which the intricacies of the human body and the relationship between body systems can be explored.
During the program’s first three years, students split time between the classroom
and introductory experiential learning.
In the fourth year, students participate in advanced experiential education rotations,
gaining experience and skills in multiple pharmacy specialty areas and practices.
By being exposed to increasing levels of responsibility for patient care in a variety
of practice settings, students are taught to think and act as independent, competent
pharmacists.
The role of the pharmacist continues to evolve with opportunities in community and retail practice, clinics, compounding labs, managed care, healthcare and government agencies, and pharmaceutical research and development.

Established in 2005, PCOM Georgia is a branch campus of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), a private, not-for-profit, accredited institution of higher education with a storied 125-year history dedicated to the healthcare professions.
