Michael B. Roberts, PsyD
Director of Institutional Research
Dr. Michael Roberts is the Director of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and
Research as well as a licensed psychologist in the state of New Jersey. He earned
his doctorate in clinical psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic
Medicine (PCOM), and previously earned a master's degree in experimental psychology
at Saint Joseph's University. Dr. Roberts was a postdoctoral fellow at Cooper University
Hospital where he was the coordinator of a state funded grant to assist pediatricians
with the identification and treatment of mental health concerns in children and adolescents.
He has an interest in psychometric testing and measure/survey development. He has
taught classes at the undergraduate and graduate level in the areas of research methods,
statistics and personality assessment. He continues to pursue academic endeavors via
research and publications on various topics in the field of psychology. Specifically,
he has been working with emergency room physicians at Cooper University Hospital in
developing a measure of physician compassion as rated by patients. Dr. Roberts has
a passion for statistical analysis and research design which he currently utilizes
in his role at PCOM.
Tara McGinnis, MSW
Associate Director of Institutional Research
Tara is the Associate Director within the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and
Research. She earned her master's degree in social work from Rutgers, The State University
of New Jersey and specialized in nonprofit and public management and violence against
women and children. During graduate school she held multiple research assistantship
positions and worked on projects involving the needs and assistance for the New Jersey
Office of Victim Witness Advocacy, assessed the impact of the Paterson, New Jersey
HOPE VI Public Housing Revitalization project, managed projects and evaluations for
the Huamin Research Center, and published various papers regarding the social welfare
system in China. Upon graduation, Tara worked for Burning Glass Technologies, an analytics
software company that provides real-time data of job growth, skills in demand and
labor market trends. After three years, her career trajectory took her to the University
of Pennsylvania, where she was the Market and Institutional Research Manager. Within
her current role at PCOM, Tara utilizes the skills she has collected from her previous
roles and applies them to provide valuable insights.
Dhyan Rajamani, MPH
Institutional Research Analyst
Dhyan Rajamani is the Institutional Research Analyst in the Office of Institutional
Effectiveness and Research. He earned a master of public health degree in epidemiology
and biostatistics from New York University. At NYU, he worked as a Research Analyst
in the NYU Tobacco Research Lab and presented his thesis “Associations of Cigarette Use and Mental Illness by Race: Examining American Indian/Alaska
Native Adults in the United States,” an analysis done in R Studio. Prior to this role, he was a Data Analyst at InTerms
LLC, an IT services company. Here he worked on various projects that developed his
data software skills, such as SQL and Tableau. Dhyan has always been passionate about
studying data and statistics and has a bachelor's degree in natural science (statistics
and biology) from the University of Pittsburgh and a graduate certificate in population
health statistics from Rutgers University. Currently, he uses his knowledge of data
and dashboard building in his role at PCOM.
