OMM Clinical Scholars Program
PCOM Georgia
The goal of the Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) Scholars Program is to develop
students as future teachers and highly skilled clinicians of osteopathic medicine.
In completing this program, participating students will integrate osteopathic principles
and practice into all aspects of osteopathic medicine, as well as gain experience
and skill in teaching others.
After an application period and interview, selected PCOM Georgia osteopathic medicine students enter the program after their second year of study. PCOM Georgia OMM Scholars
have special academic, clinical and research responsibilities beyond those of other
students. The program extends the clinical clerkship curriculum to three years rather
than two. At least 12 months of clinical training is provided in the Department of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine.
