PCOM South Georgia is the only four-year medical school in Southwest Georgia and the newest campus location of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM).

Our roots run deep in PCOM's 125-year tradition of academic excellence. Our campus in Moultrie, Georgia, is a state-of-the-art facility where students learn from some of the best and brightest faculty members. We're committed to providing physicians for rural, underserved areas.

Like our campuses in Philadelphia and Suwanee, Georgia, the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) program at PCOM South Georgia teaches a comprehensive approach to medicine. We believe a whole-person philosophy provides the best possible healthcare solutions for patients in need. Students are taught to consider the interrelationships of all body systems, as well as the impact of factors such as nutrition, environment and psychology when diagnosing and treating patients.

The first two years of medical school take place on campus, where students learn foundational basic science and early clinical skills from experienced faculty members. This includes time in the classroom, the anatomy lab, and a simulation center that houses fully equipped patient rooms and high-fidelity mannequins. The final two years of medical school take place in hospitals, clinics and physician offices where students work with preceptors to examine and diagnose patients, conduct case studies and much more. This hands-on experience further advances their clinical skills to prepare them for residency programs in the specialties of their choice.

In addition to the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program, PCOM South Georgia offers two master's degrees. The Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences is a two-year program that allows graduate students to study and learn alongside DO students and accomplished faculty to become proficient in the biomedical sciences. The Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences - Preclinical Sciences is a fast-paced pre-med program designed to prepare students for the rigors of medical school or other professional studies. Both of these programs may lead to professional school opportunities or careers in research, academia or many other healthcare-related fields.

Students at PCOM South Georgia will find a dynamic community where student success is the top priority.
