PCOM Propelling Students to Greatness

January 23, 2017

New academic degree programs, growing medical educational opportunities and expanded facilities are helping PCOM propel students to greatness.

In an effort to continue meeting healthcare demands as well the needs of its students, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine is offering new academic degree programs as well as expanding its facilities.

During the summer of 2016, the College invested more than $3 million into renovating GA-PCOM's Simulation Center to accommodate the campus's increase in student enrollment. The center expanded by 7,000 square feet and now features four simulation rooms and 10 patient exam rooms, along with an upgrade in equipment and technology.

Also at the GA-PCOM campus, the physician assistant program launched in June 2016 with its first class of 20 students. A physical therapy degree program for GA-PCOM is under development.

At PCOM, aging and long-term care administration (MS, certificate offerings) and public health management and administration (MS, certificate offerings) are new academic programs.

For DO alumni, an executive MBA in healthcare, offered through a partnership with St. Joseph's University, is available.
