The Pharmica International Scholarship Program provides a $1,000 grant each year to
subsidise the higher education fees of one student who has been accepted to study
at an accredited North American university.

To be eligible, the student must be at least 18 years old, or be able to provide written
permission from a parent or guardian if you are under 18; in good academic standing
with your current educational institution, with an average GPA of 3.0 or higher; and
currently enrolled in or accepted to a full-time program starting or continuing in
the next academic year, at an accredited North American college or university.
Students must write an essay and provide a few other pieces of information. The deadline
is August 12.

The mission of the Medical Heritage Foundation is to provide community education and
ensure a sustainable pipeline of future physicians. Grants have provided support for
community medical education through an annual medical/legal seminar; for students
to attend conferences that enable them to further their education, and meet colleagues
and mentors; and for an annual scholarship award to a third-year medical student.

Applicants must be current resident of and/or raised in Luzerne or Lackawanna County;
must be a third-year student enrolled in a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic
Medicine (DO) program; should be committed to practicing medicine in Northeast Pennsylvania.
The application deadline is October 31. Applicants are required to submit a brief
essay on why they should be awarded the scholarship, most recent transcripts and a

The Dr. Francene Gayle Scholarship for Healthcare Students is open to any future healthcare
students located in the United States. The scholarship will present a monetary reward
to a single student that is in school on their path to entering the field of health
care. We are also aiming to build awareness of the complex issues faced by our young
students along their journey to becoming healthcare providers.

To apply for the scholarship, the applicant should be a student at a university in
the United States or high school student that will attend university in pursuit of
a degree in the healthcare field.
We will award the scholarship based on an essay competition. One winner will be selected
with the best essay of under 1000 words which answers:

The Susan Lindahl Memorial Scholarship was established in 1998. Susan, the wife of
our founding president Joe Lindahl, passed away following a battle with a brain tumor
in 1997. This scholarship fund was established in her honor recognizing the sacrifices
Susan and Joe underwent getting the PAOS off the ground and sustaining the organization
in the early years.
The establishment of this memorial scholarship fund was to cultivate and attract young
physician assistant students into the field of orthopedics.

The Pharmacists Mutual Community Pharmacy Scholarship is a scholarship program sponsored
by Pharmacists Mutual. Recipients will be awarded $2,500 each, up to $50,000 in scholarships
may be awarded. This program acknowledges students interested in serving in an independent
or small chain community pharmacy, or in an underserved geographic area.

Students must meet the following criteria: Be a current P2 or P3 pharmacy student
that will be a P3 or P4 pharmacy student in the upcoming academic year.
Must plan to practice in the following: an independent or small chain community pharmacy,
or an underserved geographic or cultural community, preferably in an independent or
small chain community pharmacy.

The Delaware Institute of Medical Education and Research (DIMER) provides opportunities
for Delaware residents to receive a medical education.

Eligible applicants must be legal residents of the State of Delaware and meet the
premedical academic requirements of the preferred medical college: Sidney Kimmel Medical
College or PCOM. Bachelor's degrees from any accredited college or university in the
United States are accepted.
The PCOM Financial Aid Office will contact eligible students from Delaware to begin
the application process.

The Pisacano Scholars Leadership Program provides educational programs, leadership
training and funding for outstanding fourth-year medical students for a four year
period. Students must make a commitment to the specialty of family medicine. The funding
program is designed to reimburse a portion of medical school debt incurred by the
student by the conclusion of the required three-year residency. The Foundation is
especially interested in students who exhibit the highest levels of skill, compassion,
and leadership. A firm and continuing commitment to the specialty of family medicine
is an essential precedent for any applicant to receive a Pisacano Scholarship.

This premier leadership program is extremely competitive. Third-year medical students
are eligible to apply. Only students who demonstrate a strong commitment to the specialty
of family medicine will be considered. In addition, each applicant must show demonstrable
leadership skills, superior academic achievement, strong communication skills, identifiable
character and integrity, and a noteworthy level of community service. The level of
financial need is not considered in the selection process.

The International Order of The King’s Daughters and Sons (IOKDS) is an interdenominational,
intergenerational Christian service organization. The IOKDS Health Careers Scholarship
Department has provided scholarships to students in health career fields.

Eligibility: Students must be citizens of the United States or Canada and be studying
at an accredited institution in the United States or Canada. Medical and dental students
(in human medicine) who have completed their first year of an accredited medical/dental
school are eligible to apply. Students in pre-med courses are not eligible. Students
studying in a college or university accredited in the fields of pharmacy, occupational
therapy, physical therapy, speech and language therapy, and medical technologies who
have completed a minimum of two years of study are eligible to apply. Priority is
given to students who are working on their master’s or doctorate degrees when those
degrees are required for certification.

scholarships in New Hampshire. Scholarships are awarded to students for professional

The Jonathan Lax Scholarship Fund for Gay Men was established in 1994 by the late
entrepreneur and inventor Jonathan R. Lax for the purpose of encouraging gay men to
obtain additional education; to aspire to positions in which they contribute to society;
to be out about their sexual orientation; and to act as role models for other gay
men with similar potential.

Tuition scholarships are awarded in amounts of $5,000 and $10,000 to gay men who live
in the five-county Philadelphia region (Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and
Philadelphia counties) and Camden County, who are matriculated in a degree program
at an accredited college, graduate, or professional school anywhere, or to men attending
such schools within the Philadelphia region.
